Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
The Website Auditor ("we", "us") operates thewebsiteauditor.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
When you request an audit we collect: your name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, website URL, and any message you provide. We also collect standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through cookies and analytics tools, only after you accept cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to: deliver your website audit report; contact you by email and WhatsApp about your audit; send a limited number of follow-up messages about our services; and improve our website using aggregated analytics. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Cookies & Tracking
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (visitor statistics), Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel (advertising measurement and retargeting). You can decline cookies via our banner or clear consent anytime by clearing your browser storage. Declining does not affect your ability to request an audit.
4. Storage & Security
Lead data is stored in Google Workspace (Google Sheets/Gmail) under access controls, protected by HTTPS in transit. We retain lead data for up to 24 months after last contact, after which it is deleted on request or during periodic cleanup.
5. Sharing
We share data only with processors needed to run the service: Google (Workspace, Analytics), Meta (if you consent to the pixel), our hosting provider (Render), and WhatsApp/Meta for messaging you initiated. Each processes data under their own safeguards.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location (including GDPR, UK GDPR, Australian Privacy Act, and India's DPDP Act 2023), you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data, and you may withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time. Email us and we will act within 30 days.
